In the first 120 days, organic keyword growth accelerated, first-page rankings expanded, and revenue performance helped drive $1.326M in total sales alongside a 104% increase in conversion rate.
Righteous Felon already had a compelling product line in a category with clear search demand, but the site was not yet capturing enough visibility across the terms that matter most in specialty food ecommerce. In a market like beef jerky, rankings for product-specific and purchase-ready searches can make a direct difference in traffic quality and revenue.
The opportunity was not just to improve rankings in general. It was to build meaningful search presence for the terms most likely to drive discovery and sales, then convert that traffic once it landed. To unlock that growth, Righteous Felon needed stronger keyword coverage, more first-page visibility, and better performance on the search terms most closely tied to buying intent.
We built the campaign around improving rankings for a defined set of target keywords while expanding the site’s overall organic footprint. The strategy focused on pushing commercially relevant searches onto page one, improving visibility across product-led terms, and creating stronger momentum around the keywords most likely to influence revenue.
At the same time, the campaign supported stronger conversion performance so the added visibility would translate into business results rather than just traffic growth. The objective was to turn search into a more powerful acquisition channel by combining ranking improvements with better revenue capture from the visitors already finding the site.

Between September 26 and December 29, 2022, Righteous Felon generated $1,326,345.04 in total sales while increasing conversion rate by 104%. Organic revenue also increased by 56.4% during the period, showing that SEO was contributing directly to stronger revenue performance rather than just expanding traffic.
Keyword growth was substantial early in the campaign. By month 3, the site had added 428 organic keywords and reached 62 out of 80 targeted keyword rankings. That included 8 target keywords on page one and 26 on page two, creating a much stronger base of search visibility in a relatively short time.
The gains continued over the next 120 days. By April 21, 2023, 75 out of 105 target keywords were ranking, with 23 keywords on page one, 27 on page two, and 5 in the top 3 positions. The site also showed 71 keywords up since the start of the campaign, with 23 in the top 10, 50 in the top 20, 60 in the top 30, and 75 in the top 100. Individual keyword wins included “craft beef jerky” reaching position 1, “flavored beef jerky” reaching position 5, and terms like “jerky sampler box,” “buy beef jerky in bulk,” and “beef jerky bulk buy” moving onto page one as well.
